Multi-Vendor E-Commerce Marketplace

What We Built

We designed and built a new marketplace on Django, chosen for its mature admin tooling and speed of delivery. The platform introduced separate vendor accounts with their own dashboards, a commission and payout engine, bulk catalogue import, order routing across vendors, and a customer-facing storefront backed by fast search. Background jobs handled heavy tasks such as image processing and payout calculations so the site stayed responsive under load.

The Approach

We started with a two-week discovery to map vendor workflows, then delivered in fortnightly sprints with live demos. The Django admin gave the client a usable back office from the first sprint, which meant their operations team could onboard test vendors early and feed real feedback into the build.
